When Momma goes into the downstairs loo, she is usually followed by Pearl. The first thing she does is jump onto the sink and want the tap running, not too fast, just a trickle. She bends over and sips from the flowing water. Sometimes Momma has to leave her in there with the water dripping into the sink. She can then splash about in the basin and wash her feet. She has to be careful because she isn't the most agile of cats, a bit of a bumble foot really and one slip results in a soggy bottom.
I do enjoy piddling, I guess that is water based entertainment? Lillibet and I have been having a contest of who can pee the most on the wheel and just on Friday Momma caught her just 'finishing off'. She looked pretty guilty too. She had made quite the puddle. Momma reached for Lillibet and held her with her nose close to the wee-wee and smacked her bottom. "Meow-pirrip-pirrip" Lillibet said and stuck her butt higher in the air for another slap. It was so funny to watch her, she was meant to be in trouble but in reality was really just enjoying herself having a slapped arse. She wiggled and waggled her butt everywhere, traipsing around Momma's ankles squeaking for another slap. That really worked then? Well, actually, it did for 3 days, there was NO WEE in that whole time. Who knew that making Lillibet slap happy was the way to reduce widdling on the wheel?
I haven't piddled for a whole week. Mainly because Momma has put really uncomfortable things onto my regular surfaces, making it a little tricky to sit. Who wants to sit on pigeon spikes on the newel post? Certainly not me that's for sure. My kitten room has been prepared and my cat flap set for just me to come and go as I please, so if any widdle is found in there IT IS MINE! Well, I can leave the room really well, but getting back in can be cumbersome with my fat belly. So I sit outside and whine to be let in again. It is pretty cool though and great for watching the comings and goings on the landing. In the same instance, everyone looks in at me from the hallway. It is like a special little window that only opens for the important ones!
So much less piddling that is for sure. However, Momma found a long scoot mark that ran from the stairs to the bedroom in a perfect arc. Well, I am quite full of MiniCats and can't seem to reach my butt to wash it - so I found scooting does the job very well thank you. However, after a scoot a day my butt is a little sore and itchy now as the carpets are wool and I think I am reacting to the lanolin making my backside look like it has prickly heat. Between this and the copious amounts of sick from the front end, both Momma and I are at our wits end. Not long now though - just a week and a whole new set of trouble will start.
Well, it seems to the only thing left here to happen is wait for my waters to break!
With love from your Queen Vee =^..^=
