LILLIBETName: Maystarex Elizabethan Poem
Birthday: 15th September 2012 Mummy: Rexiru Black Envy Daddy: Onoway Bolrose Alleyesonme Colour: Chocolate Smoke Status: Neuter Nicknames: Bitty-Bean Life Motto: Feathers before food Favourite Food: Miamor Paste Favourite things: Tiger Tail Lillibet is the very first Maystar Kitten born to Faith. She is very special and had a slightly difficult start in life with a very tired Faith delivering her as she was last out! I had to hand feed Lillibet as she was dropping weight a little and I was determined that we wouldn't loose her! She is a very determined little lady and knows that she is special. When I was feeding her and saving her little life, she whispered her name to me, "Elizabeth" I kept hearing over and over. It was an unusual event, but every time I fed her, I got the name. So to shorten it we called her Lillibet and seeing as she was born in a Jubilee year, it was quite fitting as she is our first born queen! I had all these amazing names written down for her litter and Lillibet really dictated that Elizabeth it had to be, so we worked on medieval names for the whole litter and so it continues! Her determination is a big one and her sweet nature and loving but busy personality is shines through. It is lovely to see her growing and developing into a beautiful and happy girl. The fact that she is a chocolate smoke has really boosted moral as this was the colour we really wanted to start our cattery with, however in late 2013, Lillibet had a Pyometra & blood poisoning and was spayed. Her temperature rose to 41 degrees and has caused an amount of brain damage, but that just makes her even more special now. Lillibet attended her first and only cat show where she was so beautifully behaved and purred and cooed at everyone. For a first show, she was just so happy and full of beans and proudly brought home a red rosette for her Open Class. So admittedly, she was the only one in the class, but we are proud of her non the less! She has been out on exhibition a few times to help me with my artwork sales and really enjoyed the fuss and attention and has done the Stoneleigh Pet Shows each year and really gets on showing off. Annoyingly, she now has a condition where she can't have any vaccinations, wormers, flea treatments or any chemicals in the home, even kitchen spray or she has a seizure! It is a real shame as she actually, despite her condition, loves to show off. We take her everywhere with us as leaving her at home makes her very upset and with her fitting, she is safer in our care. She thinks nothing of smacking any cat to make them move from their warm spot. Faith and her get on so well, it's sweet if Lillibet gets upset, Faith is right there to give her encouragement and fuss. She loves nothing more than to snuggle down into a warm blanket and fall asleep, safe and wrapped up. She is full of purrs and is the first one to greet us in the morning or if we have been out and she does this by shaking her whole body and her tail tremors She is funny and humorous and very kind and loyal girl and is much loved. Her Feline hyperesthesia syndrome is manageable, she has good days and bad days. She often fixates on one cat or problem and then can have a seizure if we are not quick enough at diverting her attentions or upping her sugar levels fast enough. She certainly isn't dull. |
