PEDIGREE NAMING HISTORY:-
Alexandrina Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death in 1876, she adopted the additional title of Empress of India, although, never visited. Victoria married first cousin Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1840 and they had 6 children.
Viktori is a complete live wire and a very striking girl, quite a marmite cat really. She was a singleton born to Gracie. Gracie, although loved her kittens would worry and bite and maul them. Poor Viktori got it in the neck, quite literally and has scars on her neck and sides to prove it. So at four weeks old, she was only allowed supervised visits with her mum whilst she was weaned. Her Sister Flaire took over some of the duties and played with her and I brought her up and unfortunately spoiled her rotten, so now she is a crazy little whirlwind, full of love and cuddles and fun at a million miles an hour. From the moment I saw her, I knew she was staying. I had always wanted a chocolate and white baby to join the family and when I saw her ears, I knew she wasn't going anywhere.
Viktori wants to everything you are doing. She trails behind me all day, eyes heavy with sleep, but still she stays awake until I settle down and then she is straight down my top for a nap. At shows she can be a bit slippery to handle and some judges remark she is a 'hissy miss'. However, others who handle her in a different way and understand her say she is a sweet natured girl. I see both sides of her. We took her to the Pet Show, but it wasn't really for her. She felt much happier out and about rather than the people patting her. She rode my shoulders and she was in her element and in control and could see everything. This is when she is at her best. Given trust and freedom suits her very well.
Viktori is a cuddly girl with us and will purr and purr and rub herself all over you and want in your skin. She happily snuggles and kisses your face and comes when she is called. She is hilariously funny and has us in stitches with her games of chase anything invisible. She makes up games to entice the others and is quite a little devil when sets her mind. She can be a little overly fixated on the other cats and she can often get in a tizzy or a spat quite easily. We have to watch her and curb her enthusiasm. Despite this, she is a delight and a real court jester as well as a Royal Queen.
Very sadly, in 2019, she had to be spayed. She only had two kittens and was an excellent mother - however, she is proving to be an incredible aunt to new kittens and even brings in milk for them.
