Mr Elton came to us in January 2022 as a young kitten, he was fresh blood for the girls we had bred here. He was a very funny kitten, all legs and long body, long tail and he just went on and on forever and kept growing. His Dad, Avon, is a very big fella too so I guess he takes after him. I didn't really want a red head and at first when he was growing he looked for all the world like a cinnamon, until his thick coat grew and he was indeed a ginger nut so that's what we have a crazy orange cat!
He has a nice demeanor as a stud cat and has grown up very sweet natured. He loves a cuddle and lots of kisses each night when we spend quality time together. During the day he goes for two short runs around the garden where I have to watch him like a hawk as he springs over a six foot fence, complete with cat netting, like a pro. When he was just under a year old, he escaped from the front door during a delivery and spent the entire night out in the wilderness next to our home. He got himself super terrified and just would not come back to me at all. He blamed me for his terrible night out and spent the following months scared stiff of me? Something went pop in head? Whilst he was out that night, he broke a rib scrambling through the undergrowth and must have got trapped somewhere as he was limping when he finally returned to the garden at 3am, where I managed to lure him to the safety of the catio. He also brought a free dose of Giardia with him probably thanks to the local foxes. Honestly. You couldn't make it up!
At Minoan Cattery, they needed a boy to help out so once he was well, we sent him there to 'recover' from his ordeal and have a change of scenery. Gerda did wonders with him and he stayed for 3 months and produced some cracking kittens for them. After this, he was chemically neutered and returned to having some much needed TLC without the silly hormones. Ade worked hard to bring him back into the fold and he began to trust me again and we haven't looked back. He is still an escape artist but does and will listen to me now and he races back and flops at me feet to apologise for being curious about the outside world.
His chemical neutering has worn off and he will begin to have girlfriends visit. He is already expecting his first litter here at Maystar HQ in June 2024. We would like to Thank Sarah & Phillip at Lexifers and Dorota at Hasu'Neku for such a lovely boy.
