WHY do we ask so many questions?Please fill in the form honestly & truthfully. The form is for sole use of Maystar Devon Rex and is not shared or sold.
You may read through some of these questions and think, why do they need to know that? All the questions are aimed to give an insight into how a Maystar Rex Kitten may continue it's life. It is for the kittens protection. We spend 3 months nursing and preparing our kittens for a healthy and happy life and also want to try and match a kitten to a home. It's no good if you want a calmer or more loving kitten (if there is such a Devon Rex) and you end up with a crazy one who scales the curtains constantly! (Although, this may still happen) It's important to know if a kitten is going to a home where he/she may have some company and not left for hours and hours alone. We do prefer two kittens to go together in this case. We do prefer our kittens to live in the home as there are many obstacles outside that may harm your kitten, including cat thieves and predators. Devon Rex are not the smartest of cats when out doors and are not waterproof. Therefore, either supervised visits, on a harness or in an enclosure is much safer. We don't mind if you haven't had a Devon Rex before, but they are quite unique and inquisitive. It's like having a child around the house for the following 17years or so. We just want you to be prepared. If we know what kind of animals or other cats you have living in your home, we can be there for you to help with introductions if you need it. Our Kittens are always well rounded and used to every day life. It is important to us that we know the kittens are safe, this doesn't mean that if you rent your home the kitten won't be safe, but we must have assurance that they won't need to be re-homed if your circumstances with your landlord change. Of course, anyones circumstances can change, we understand that. If you feel that you don't want to disclose any of the information about you and your family, that is fine by us, but in the same respect, you will not be offered a kitten. There is a very firm contract that leaves home with every kitten as they are very important to us. For Breeders Enquiries:- If you are a breeder of Devon Rex Cats and do not know us personally, then we are always interested in understanding why you would want a Maystar Devon Rex. Some of our cats are contracted and therefore we are not able to sell for breeding. We also do not do swaps or BOGOF's. We are here to improve the lines and the genetics and all our cats are tested for various disorders and we would expect the same tests to be done in the breeders household before we would let a kitten go for breeding. Again, there would be a strict breeders contract. If you are enquiring, just be honest and get to know us first.
