Otta was a shared venture with Whimzeerex. In November 2018 aged just over a year, he came to live at Maystar HQ and he spent the Winter and Spring here practicing how to be an Otta-Man! It took him many goes and much trial and error, then in February 2019 he finally mated Flaire - GR CH MAYSTAREX QUEEN OF SCOTS and produced one Son and Heir, MAYSTAREX LORD DARNLEY.
During his stay with us, we took him showing and got him made up to Grand Champion. He really enjoyed it and it was a great joy to take him. His kind, soft nature won over the judges and after a long tiring start of creeping through Champion status, he then matured and gained his Grand Certificates in 3 straight shows.
Otta has the most wonderful temperament and during his stay here he regained our trust in taking on a stud boy again. He was a real hit with the girls and even though he didn't manage to get Viktori or Pearl pregnant, together with Flaire, they all became very good friends and they would ask to visit him, even when they were not in call and he enjoyed the company. In the mornings, in any weather, he would stroll about the garden enjoying sniffing everything and chasing spiders under the raised decking. He wasn't a huge runner or galloper, more a lounge lizard. He would run if you threw a crinkle toy for him to bring back.
We are very proud of his achievements on the show bench and how he handled himself as a stud cat. He has now returned to Whimzeerex to complete his obligations as a stud boy and continue his line with the ladies of the court there.
