Momma had been out shopping to get all the good deals on meats. It was a great afternoon with her chopping and dicing and putting meat into bags for the freezer and labeling everything. Lillibet and I hung about for scraps and occasionally there would be a bit of Sirloin that didn't make the grade or was too thin for Momma's cooking and we got it. Casually, she threw these bits over her shoulder and we would scrap it out like a pack of lions. I am so utterly quick at it though and so lillibet tried to sneak right up onto the sideboard to get a sneaky big bit, but Momma saw her and shooed her away. That put an end to that. Pfft.
Later, Momma cooked all the bones of chicken and lamb and beef and made various stocks with vegetables ready to go into the freezer to add to gravies. Oooh the smell and aroma of the whole experience was overwhelming. I was drooling into my chest at one point until I caught myself doing it. After Momma cooked the lot up, she emptied it all into recycling ready for bin day and put the recycle bin outside. But little did she know - she had left the cat flap open and I was out of there helping myself to scraps of salmon that had been trimmed off because the freezer bit them apparently. I didn't mind. They tasted wonderful. Then I helped myself to the copious amounts of fat from around the sirloin and choked those down too. Oh I am in heaven. THEN, I saw at the bottom, all the delicious chunky meat bones and tried very hard to eat those too but they were just too large so I decided a few chewy moments on those and moved on, spreading what I didn't want all over the decking in the CatPod. Ooh, to my delight I found the odd bits of lamb with onions and carrots. Down they went. Scoff, scoff, scoff until I was at the end of the entire lot. Now for a lay down in the Orbshine to sooth my huge belly.
Oooops. I feel a tad rough. Oh no, it's Ok, I think it's past now? NOPE... HECK... ::gurgle gurgle:: oooh no. This is bad. I think I am gonna heave. Yep. three giant deposits of everything I have eaten, plus my breakfast noms and a little of the stolen food i pinched from Flaire. Oh dear, I don't feel good at all. But wait - what is this in this pile of stuff? Salmon? I gingerly pick it out from the warm mess and munch it down again. Waste not want not and all that. But it didn't last. up it came again in three smaller pink piles.
Well, you know what folks say about fish - it has to be fresh. I blame the fish for me getting caught out. Mmmm. I should have left that well alone and maybe I would be sitting here with my belly full instead of doubly empty and a slapped arse and I can feel my eye closing already from the allergies and my skin will soon start to flake and become sore and hurty. Sigh.
