With wonderment and fresh eyes, I am seeing everything new and exciting. I just can't stop being busy, but when I am busy I have these Growed-ups following me and prodding me and mewling in my huge auricles and telling me to 'get off - get down - get out - get here', it's all so dull and highly unamewsing.  They seem to forget 'THEY WERE KITTENS ONCE'. :roll eyes:

I found a fantastic game and I saw Flaire do it yesterday and really wanted to have a go, but Mum kept biting my legs and Momma kept putting me onto the floor again. (brrr, it's cold down there by the way!)  It was to climb to the top of the cat tree in the kitchen, it's about 5ft 7" tall and me being a mere 3.5" (Queen Victoria size) I look really tiny up there.  I raced up the long side, gripping either side like a professional tree climber. Who needs ropes and spikes? Not me, I only fell 4 times until I got the hang of it and I am not sure if it was the dizzying heights or the concussion that made my leggies give way, but I was there, on the top, like the champion of champions, spitspotting about, back arched in a victory hop.  yes, this is the life for me... sky's the limit!

Well, now I am up here there is one task that I am destined to perform and I have been eyeing up my Sister and watching how she does it.  I want to jump the chasm between the catpost and the swing bed.  It must be at least a foot drop, so far away, but I am going to do it.  Now watch the video closely, blink and you could miss me taking flight!

Firstly, I am spotted by Momma, then Flaire then Mum Gracie.  I jump from the very top spot and crack my head on this strange clear stuff, before landing neatly facing the other way. Cool. I am then very busy taking measurements whilst Mum & Flaire perform some weird ritual at the end of the post? I get a MEOW warning from Mum to stop what  am doing, so I pounce on her a bit to show that really I am concentrating on her. We have a short washing frenzy and I try for a spot of milky, but sent away with a NIP on my tail root.  OWEE MUM! I pretend not to notice and bang my head again on the clear stuff?

I climb back up and take a sneaky bite at Mum's neck to show that I am a tad annoyed I didn't get a smidgen of milky and then she unbalances me with her paw and knocks me on my face, washing my bum for good measure.  I am seriously embarrassed and smack and bite her halfheartedly back, she verbally warns me with a TRILL (not the bird seed!).  But just then, talking of birds, she gets distracted by a pigeon outside and I measure twice and leap once into the unknown and taa daa.  I have done it.  The leap of faith.  Mum cries with shock and I dance a little dance and go for my close up.  Momma knew I was going to do it, it was my first try and I knew she would catch me - she is on my sidereally and helped guide me on a trial run when she held me under my tummy and skipped me from bit to bit so I knew how to get up and down safely.  But to do it ON MY OWN.  WOWZEREEWOO.  I am a free spirit that's for sure.

So, watch me again on my little video in case you missed my very excited face as I leap a whole 12" into the abyss and land safely in the hammock bed.  just a tad chuffed with myself. I think this flying stuff is excellent and I am to not visit the salon to have my nails shortened this week, so that I have a sure velcro grip.  I find it exhilarating and have my eye on a 8ft gap between the cat post and the top of the fridge.  I may need a few months before that is an option - but THINK BIG and EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS!

Love from Queen Vee X

ALL CHANGE

I am handing over the gauntlet to Viktori Vee.  It seems, as the youngest member of our pride, she is the one to go on and hold the banner high and tell the tall tails or should that be tales of the goings on at Maystar HQ.  You see, much is changing here, or there (I can't quite grasp the concept) I had hardly even told anyone about Viktori or her conception or anything, you see, I was very poorly for quite a number of months and didn't feel much  like telling the world about it.  most of you understood and had the full story, but there were others who were tiresome and and didn't think Momma had tried very hard.  So, it was easier to stay quietly in the back ground.   But I feel the World is now ready for the next episode in Maystar mayhem and as much as there are things to write about up here in Rainbow bridge and many new faces to meets and greets, it just isn't going to hack what is really going on and so much is being missed out.  There have been births and cat shows and illnesses that have not been accounted for and visits from Jaz and Jamie and all this I have failed to report on.

I should introduce you to Vee really and see what you think about her and her as the new Maystar Hack?  i am sure her style will differ slightly as she is not at all food orientated but already she is single track minded and bolder than ANY 9 week old kitten we have had here.  Lillibet wanted to be the new blogger, but Momma said she can be unpredictable and only think about Thwakking everyone.  That doesn't always make for good journalism.  Flaire is full of her own self importance and now she is a champion, her head is way too big!  Unlike Baby Vee, it's just her ears that are big.  So I leave you in her capable paws and when she is ready, I am sure she will venture out and meet everyone in time and it seems the public already love her, so I doubt it will be hard!

Love you all my loyal subjects

Hello everyone,
My name is Viktori Vee. I only get called "Vik - Tori" at nom time. I come racing for that!  I learned my name at 4weeks old and I am 9weeks old now and had my second visit to the vet yesterday.  The first time was horrible and it hurt a lot and I had a FURMOMETER and everything.  My Mummy, Gracie, had chomped my chest and neck and gave me an infection.  That soon healed but left me with slight scars, oh well, scars can be pretty right?  The second visit was for big girl injections.  These stop me from picking up bugs and such, however, I have been racing around the whole house for two weeks now 'unprotected'.  That's because a very poorly cat named King Slinky, who I never met, went to Rainbow Bridge and left me his legacy to uphold.  Momma was worried that he might give me something nasty because his tummy got infected and nearly popped. Ooops, that would have been stinky!  I run around for hours and hours with my Sister Flaire.  She is really good fun, she has shown me lots of things I shouldn't be doing already, like climbing out of the kitten room over the half door.  Pfft, after a few tries it was easy!  I was found tootling along the work top this morning... pfft, that was easy too.  Flaire gave me a leg up onto the bin from the play box and the rest was history.  My Mum is lovely, a bit over possessive, especially where this big brown cat called Lillibet is concerned.  SHE thinks she rules this whole house... she is very much mistaken!  I have already thwakked her a goodun around the whisker pads.  Oooh, that set the cat among the birdies... She flipped out and started running and flicking her feet, then my Mum beat her up, sort of, Mum is a bit scared of Lillibet.  Flaire isn't though and she is in something named a 'call' and she LOVES Lillibet? I am totally confused? I was taught birds and bees and never were there two lady bees?  Then there is Faith.  I think i will like her, she has been a bit mean though.  Momma explained that she had lost 5 kittens last year and she was just sad and upset, but today, she licked my back... it tickled.  She is kind, even if she does HISS right in my face.  I can see, really, she isn't that bad at all and we might become friends one day.  She does watch out for me and tell my Mum if I do naughty things.  Faith and Mum don't really get on, but it's not in a bad way, just a bit hit and miss - Faith hits - Mum misses.

I have to go to bed now, I am tired. I have played really hard this morning and I ran up the 6ft cat tree so have been banished to boring toys on the floor.  Pfft.

All my love from Viktori Vee  x

    QUEEN VEE

    OFFICIAL BLOG SPOT
Since 2012 King Slinky has written and devoted his life to his loyal subjects, but with his passing in October 2016 someone had to be successor to the crown.

The position now falls to Queen Vee.  She is now the reining 'blog' monarch here at Maystar HQ.

Vee lives with her  Sister Flaire, her great great grandaughter, Gazoo she is also great Aunt to SaBreena, friends with Faith and Lillibet and distant second cousin Mae.  We also have reigning Kings Elton & Eros who are related to each other but not the queens.
