START OF A NEW LIFE
Well, would you believe it? Mr.Zeus packed his bags and left home!  Really, he did.  I was giving him a good THWAKKING and he announced at mid THWAK that he was leaving and he would never see me again.  He then THWAKKED me back and got my eye and made me have a sore lid.  So, for good measure I made contact with his head and gave him a bump on it!  Then we were separated AGAIN for the upteenth tie this week and told to behave! Yeah, right.

It was on Sunday that Brett, Liza & Billy came over to collect Mr.Zeus.  Oh how happy was he ponsing about in his sparkly silver collar with a bell on.  He had watched Momma pack all of his bags and food for the next month, gather up his two favourite beds and blankets, dishes & toys. He even had his own carrier all set up and ready to go... but he decided, when the time came, to ride out on Billies shoulders and into the car without his carrier.  Oh he looked so pleased with himself as he wave good bye to everyone and hopped in beside Billy.

He had his tail held high, like a new adventure and new mates, he just didn't even give us a second look at all.  Sitting on the parcel shelf as they drove away, I swear he stuck his paw up at me, that little pip squeak.  If ever I see him again I will Thwak him so hard.... ManSlave said I ha better calm down because there could be a nice family out there who would take on a cat with a dicky Ticker, Kitty Colitis & Allergies and someone might feel sorry for me and if I didn't pipe down the RSPCA was just down the road.  He wouldn't do it - Momma would divorce him... wouldn't she?

KS =^..^=

PS: Mr. Zee as he is now known, is very happy in his new home with Momma's school friends.  he has found the highest place in the house to sleep and enjoys munching their plants!  Oh Mr. Zeus, you are such a card. It's very quiet here without you - I am sad really, we were such good mates in the beginning.  We wish you the very best of luck and glad you have a safe loving home. Faith is back to sitting on my head... you were useful at distracting her at ties like this... come back, all is forgiven!

THE TIME OF MY LIFE!
Seriously, I LOVE food.  I will eat ANYTHING!  Well my Arden Grange with White fish & Potato arrived in it's new packaging - nice I thought... Mmmm, well, I ate it, but then within 10mins I was swollen, eyes puffed out, skin itchy and red and sore, my ears all filled up with owees and I couldn't stop shaking my head - at one point I shook it so much I nearly fell down stairs.  I was Yawping and crying and mewling.

Not again we thought, no more of this  - I have special food that DOES NOT DO THIS - well I did, AG have added salmon to their white fish only diet! I don't 'DO' salmon and salmon sure don't do me!!!

So, Momma took me to the lovely new Vet Simon from MediVet.  It was a little more expensive that the other vets and I didn't get smooched (probably because my skin smelled like Parmesan cheese!) But I did get weighed, had my breath smelled in a very expert way, my skin felt, tummy felt and remarkably he noticed my eye that Momma had been to the Vets only a month before and asked if it was OK? Simon is a nice guy, he didn't use the FURMOMETER - he knew better when I gave him the eye! But he did stab me in my bum with a HOOGE NEEGLE, I nearly passed out ::paw on head:: then he sent me home on a double dose of my Steroids and some special cream for my eye.

I have to say, I was crooned over in reception, even though I looked and felt dreadful they all thought I was tremendously handsome.  Well, I was always one for the ladies!  I think I have to to re-visit in a month or so for more meds... so pucker up ladies KS is in town!

TAKE A CHANCE ON ME
How can they do it again you may ask, well, if it wasn't for these pesky girl cats THEY WOULDN'T! Momma can't bear to be separated from them whilst they visit boyfriends.

For the second time this year Maystar Devon Rex are going to introduce a new baby into the Pride, a new Black Smoke baby by the name of
'Lexifers Maystar Chancer'  Well, Chance by name, chance by nature.  ManSlave even asked if this one comes with a 'lifetime Guarantee'?

I, myself am not sure if I am looking forward to it really, the last one smelled funny and I was so scared of him but this little fella is somewhat related to me and it makes me a Great Great Uncle Slinky on his Mothers side! Although he looks black here, he will carry a special gene to make chocolate babies, just like his Uncle TomFun.  Yes, this little chap is TomFun's family and that is what makes him really special.

Momma has been doing lots of pedigree searching and working out again and has discovered that the inbreeding is 0.04% now that is low indeed.  So eventually he and Lillibet can make some bat eared Devon Rex babies in Chocolate & Black.  Oh, what are they letting them selves in for? All this fuss over a baby cat.  The Parentals are going to visit him in a few weeks and make sure he has lots of cuddles in preparation for coming to live with us. No doubt I won't be allowed to go on that trip to Wales - Shame, I would have like to test my Thunder Paw on him and put him in his place with an air Thwak!

TOWERING OVER EVERYONE
Even though it's Sunday, Momma has been very busy indeed and we were left in the capable hands today of ManSlave.  Who, I hasten to add, cooked himself a chicken and refused to give us any - he can be so mean at times.

So where was Momma?  Well, Momma took Styro-foam Slinky to meet lots of new people today and try to gain  much needed sponsorship for the Rex Cat Club 25th Anniversary show.  Every time Momma met someone new, she popped on my crown and took my photograph with the products. Today was with Tigga Towers! They really are amazing and quite unique pieces of cat furniture.  We would love one of those to play on!  Oh ManSlave.....

Well, Styro-foam Slinky finally made it home, a little tatty around the edges, but I feel my alter-ego has done a good weeks work. When they got home they were both very hungry and Momma checked out the fridge... Oooh chicken she said and made a nice curry for the Parentals and we got all of the pickings. Thank goodness she came home, we were about to fade away from starvation.

THE VET CHECK
Now, some of you know that I can not attend show, even though I would really really love to, because of my dicky ticker and other such stuff, the exhibition stand is not my domain anymore and never will be... until now!

Just take a closer look at me being vetted in at the PET SHOW this week.  Really, it's me and I am wearing my crown!!! Well, ok, it's 'styro-foam' me. But apparently THIS me doesn't have a dicky ticker, or a troublesome tummy or skin problems or allergies to anything.  Styro-foam Slinky is 100% a healthy dude and to boot, he is so well behaved it's sickening!

So, Momma got talking to the nice vet Simon, from MediVet Coventry and he says that the real me can visit anytime I like and I really do miss my lovely Katie, but it looks like she is going to be away for some time and the stand in Vet is lovely, but I fear she is a dog lady and doesn't really ever get close enough for a smooch.... NOT, I hasten to add, will I be smooching with Simon, oh no and if he ever comes near my rear with his Furmometer, he will have another thing coming... My Thunder Paw for a big THWAK!

A TRUCE MAYBE?
I don't really know what that word means.  I seriously try ignoring Mr.Flustery Knickers but he really is giving me grief and getting me into trouble.  Really, he is!  Well, OK, so maybe I do make things a little heated between us... maybe.

This fine Sunday morning is a fine example of bird watching and Orb Worshiping all together as a family unit.  It was nice, everyone chilling out, being happy and having fun doing the same thing... then Mr.Zeus sees me when I venture to the top shelf of the CatPod to check if he is still there (kowing full well he was still there).  It was then that Mr.Fluster Pants decides that if he screams at the top of his lungs as though someone is ripping his legs off, then ManSlave will come and rescue him and I get a slapped arse. But this morning, Momma got to me first and saw that I was poking him a little to get him to scream louder and when I had one poking him, he screamed like a girl so much that I lent over the shelf bed and THWAKKED him an almighty THWAK because he was being a big girls blouse and anyone that screams for nothing deserves a THWAK and a half.  I was sorry once I had made contact, because Momma saw me and I went down in her estimations as all around me billowed Mr.Zeus's fur, she looked very disappointed that I had defuzzed him.

Well, I can tell you Momma, that I too am disappointed that there has been NO ROAST DINNERS for two weeks.  I do all this ORB WORSHIP for you and your friends and I don't even get a smidgen of Roast sensation to fill my nostrils - Nope, Momma has taken to cooking Bengal & Punjab traditional curry and ManSlave said that although the food is very very tasty and cooling in all this weather... It is de-valuing the house as it smells like Garam Masala and the kitchen sides are yellow! Bring back the good old fashioned Roast dinner I say and let me savour it's tenderness and maybe then it will set me in a better mood for less Thwakking and more loving!

STACKABLE CATS
There is never a dull moment here with two wild girls to contend with.  If it's not Faith, then it is Lillibet! Climbing doors, curtains and shelving!

Today, I heard a noise in the kitchen and wandered in so as not to mis anything. Actually, I ran! There was a cuffuffle and a squeaking and finally a loud scrabbling and as I raced in and looked up, there was Lillibet in a small box of Stella Artois Cidre, which I must say was balanced on the edge of the kitchen side and balanced on the top like a Pro was Faith.  How on earth Lillibet hamanaged to scrabble into the box is unbeknown to me? But she ha managed it with the help of her Mother, who really must have been acting as ballast during the whole episode.

The pair are just encourageable really.  It was only last week that the 'invisible' shelves 'were' mounted on the wall in the kitten room.  I say 'were', because, after a circuit race around the house, the shelves were used as a short cut from the Kitten Box to the window sill? There is 4ft at least between each leap, but round and round they went until, finally, with a crash and a thud, down came the lower shelf and deposited all of the toys and bits that Momma keeps up there. Of course the pair of whirlwinds stopped in mid-hurl to turn and look at the damage, which they estimated was not their fault at all! Faith then stalked the odd toy and gave it a tentative Thwak with her paw to make sure it was dead and announced 'Hims did it!'

Lillibet is quite a sweet little thing really and if it wasn't for her Mother leading her astray, she would be a perfect young lay with good manners. Faith, is of course, well brought up and only teaches her Daughter the very best things, but Lillibet is not as agile as Faith and often something Faith can do, Lilliet just doesn't seem as graceful as she thinks she looks!  She is in that teenage long legged gangly stage who of course 'thinks she can fly' - well, I can tell you from experience that she can not!

BEHIND BARS

Well it's that time of the year again where we can spend all day in the CatPod and the days are longer and warmer than ever, well this week at any rate.  Today was the first day of the hot hot Orb and some decent Orb bathing. It's so nice to feel the cool breeze from the side of the house as it blows through our CatPod, it's just perfect with it's UVA Orb protection roof covering and sides. We have all spent the whole day lounging in the heat, safe in the knowledge that we won't burn, especially me and my pink skin.

Lillibet has really enjoyed her self and it's great to see her racing up and down and playing in her tunnels and now, climbing the wire!  This of course, she learned from Faith. Every morning Faith climbs to the top of the cage and de-webs the CatPod.  Lillibet doesn't see the fascination of eating spiders or their webs, thinks it's much more fun to scream at full volume to anyone that is outside the CatPod, such as the Parentals or Garden Cats! She hates it when she is left and between her and her Mother, they can get into quite a Yawping match.  I have to admit that I do enjoy a good Yawp of my own and join in just because I can.   But generally, we enjoy the time out and just lay on the decking or the shelving.

I have had many posts on FB appreciating the amount of Orb Worship I have been up to and how much I have managed to spread around the World for my friends.  So thank you everyone for your messages, I really love the fact that I have a handle on the Orb around our planet - the only problem is, I can't hold out all this Worship forever, it will soon revert back to the 'norm'

VISITORS IN THE BUSHES

I have been posting on FB about a new garden cat.  You see, our elderly garden cat who belonged to next door, sadly passed away a few weeks ago and this new, pretty, young bit of fluff has ventured into our garden.  At first, the Parentals called her Ghost & Snowy, but apparently she is called Ipek. Ipek is from Cyprus and I believe I am in love and just can't stop thinking about her.  her name means 'Silky'... well, if ever I get close enough to try that out I shall let you know.  This white fluffy lady is rather aloof with me and doesn't pay me an ounce of attention at all and spends more time chatting with lillibet.  All I want to do is fluff her up a bit and show her a good time, but she just flicks her scrumptious white tail at me and saunters off to flirt with Mr.Zeus. She lays on our chairs in the sun under the garden bird feeders and squeaks at the birds.  Momma has asked her not to eat the birdies and only eat the mouzes. She has agreed so far! Don't know how long that will last, she looks like a real wild child to me.

Ipek lives in the next street with her Homies, Simon & Ilke, and they were worried about Ipek's constant disappearance and Momma met Simon in the street looking for her.  The Parentals and the Homies are now in contact letting each party know where this little princess is hiding out.  I think she would so like to stay for dinner some time but Momma has said that we can't have friends in for tea. I have asked Ipek if she fancies dinner out sometime but every time I manage an escape, she has gone home.  Just the other night I thought I had managed a great escape.  ManSlave had gone to bed, Momma had opened the windows wide because it was so hot and I was 'meant' to be in my bed in he office...I wasn't, I had inched my door open by standing on the printer and snuck past a snoring ManSlave and out onto the roof and was just venturing across the garage when Momma, who was in the bathroom, saw a flash of white and spotted me jumping from the fence into the garden!  I thought I had managed a date with Ipek when the spot lights came on and dazzled us both and the camera alarm went off and started recording our secret rendezvous, she didn't want any part of a recorded meeting and beat a hasty retreat... damn, I was puckering up for a smooch too.

    QUEEN VEE

    OFFICIAL BLOG SPOT
Since 2012 King Slinky has written and devoted his life to his loyal subjects, but with his passing in October 2016 someone had to be successor to the crown.

The position now falls to Queen Vee.  She is now the reining 'blog' monarch here at Maystar HQ.

Vee lives with her  Sister Flaire, her great great grandaughter, Gazoo she is also great Aunt to SaBreena, friends with Faith and Lillibet and distant second cousin Mae.  We also have reigning Kings Elton & Eros who are related to each other but not the queens.
