Lillibet can not wait to Meets and Greets her public next weekend (5/7/14). She has been looking forward to it for some time and has been preparing the goods for her own personal stall at the Wiltshire & District Cat Show in Swindon.
She has been growing her coat like crazy, but all that has happened is that it looks patchy in places, more like it is falling out than growing! Her spine line is like a loo brush, but underneath, you can tell there is curly fur trying it's best to 'do something'. She is 20 months old now and both her Brother & Sister in France have luxurious coats. Maybe it was her hard start in life and then the Pyometra and then the blood poisoning and then the fact that she reacted to her booster injections as did Faith, who was poorly for a whole week? It is possibly just bad luck that she hasn't had the time to grow her clothes properly and all the stress of being poorly has taken it's toll on the short and curly part of her coat and it's sort of twisty in places and tight in others - a bit like a demi wave!
Even so, she still fancies meting everyone who wishes to see her and she is not the cuddliest of cats, more a talkative interactive kinda gal, with attitude to die for. She is rambunctious, persistent and audacious, she is just a little charmer with cattitude! I am sure anyone who meets her will fall in love with her unusual 'longness'. Every thing about her is LONG! Long legs, long tail, long ears and the longest licker I have ever seen amongst my feline friends and where better to keep it than a long face and nose? But at the same time, she is ever so petite and just a whisp of a thing. She eats twice as much as anyone else and races about twice as much as anyone else. She is no show cat, no ambassador for the breed, she has all the old style Devon wit and charms though, oh yes, her purrsonality is all Devon Rex, but, well, the rest of her is just plain unique!
