This is what little cats are made for. For being your friend, telling your secrets to and playing games as well as keeping you company when you feel peeky. When Kevin was a kit, he struggled and whimpered when Momma picked him up. Often rolling his eyes in contempt. But one thing he did love was to sit on laps and purr up a storm. He also didn't mind being held upside-down. Strange little wriggler this one. Momma spent hours teaching him to be calm in scary situations and how to handle himself with decorum. He was quite the bright spark and caught on very quickly to what Momma wanted and was the first to come to his name. Momma was making him into the perfect child's companion.
Poorly Lucca in bed with his nurse He met his little boy, Lucca, who he was going to care for when he was just a few weeks old and even then they bonded. Lucca has a brother too called Theo, he is much busier than Lucca but that doesn't stop Kevin wanting to play and have fun. Recently Lucca was poorly in bed and Kevin stayed with him and cared for him. Making sure he had everything he needed. These are traits he claims from his Mother 'Gracie Nightingale'. But he is special and living with his boy child has made him extra special as he is the littlest cat in the house and able to be carried around and hugged by small hands.
It was an exciting moment when Kevin first sat on their tiny laps, happily watching TV together, then Kevin reached up and kissed Lucca on the sniffer which made him giggle and tell his Mum that Kevin had just kissed him! Little boys and little cats were made for each other. To get into trouble together, to play and make a mess and run about playing chase or hide and seek. Wait until summer comes and they can all race about the cat safe garden chasing bees and frogs. The stories they will tell each other and the secrets they will keep. makes me wish I was a kitten again.
