Flaire had a huge pen all to herself, you could fit in 3 cats with all the space she had. It did keep her quieter and stopped the flying at the bars to scare the judges and stewards. Apparently, from reports, she was very well behaved. Mmmm. I think they were being polite as one experienced judge called her a feisty little biatch, in a nice way you understand!
Their day went from good to amazing in just a short time. Flaire had been entered incorrectly by the new GCCF computer system and put into a higher class called an Imperial. She was judged as such and to everyone's surprise, she gained the IMP in each class. Thankfully, Momma's breeder friends noticed the error and reported it to the show manager. Phew. She was successfully downgraded to a GRAND. Luckily she didn't have to be judged again. She also gained a Best of Breed which then put her into the Best of Variety category and was chosen BOV ADULT. It was like a dream.
Tilly had a super day too with two 1st certificates in her kitten class and a Best of Breed over 2 kittens. She was then placed in the Best of Variety Kitten with all breeds in her section and came out tippy tipp top and was awarded BOV Kitten THEN she was whisked from her pen to the big navy blue show pens as she had won Best of Variety over the Adults, beating her Mother and neuters. Everyone was gobsmacked and her Hooman, Mrs B, nearly passed out. She made Best in Show runner up over a stunning Long Haired Oriental. Momma was just a tad bit proud even when Tilly shouted her head off and hissed at the judge! Ooops.
Now, we must tell you about 'Our Otta'. He had moaned a little when he left home and must have plaited his leggies as during the show he managed a giant poop in his tray that they had a vet out to look at because he had split his bottom a little. He was disputing at the fact he had come home with two blue rosettes and no red ones like the girls. He did get a whopping first place in a side class of five other all breed cats. He will also get a bigger pen next time because he had to be folded in the smaller one due to how big he has grown. The judge said he was nice but needs a better stop and to shake the guard hairs on his butt. He is fine and we all love him, especially me, so it doesn't matter.
I am still on my Hollibobs and will be home next weekend. I stall haven't mated and have no intentions of ruining this slimline body of mine by filling it full of kittens and ruin my figure. Nope, I just don't fancy the act of 'doing it' and much prefer looking out at the fields being harrowed and seeded that playing with the boys and heck, I have had the choice of three to play with and that doesn't include Otta! I am just a tease. Hey ho - sorry to all those waiting for me to produce. This kitty carry cot is shut for the summer duration!
Lots of love from your Queen Vee =^..^=
