Our new arrival is a new fish tank for our friend Tethys the Black Belt Cichlid. He has been living in a smaller tank due to the fact that all the Parentals had for him and whilst he was happy enough, it was a house decision that Tethys deserves a little more space to do his own thing. He is quite and aggressive fishy, so he is kept on his own, but he does get lots of fuss, especially from Momma who hand feeds him and does a bit of fish tickling!
The excitement of the unwrapping was second to none and I made sure to Foreman the whole thing seeing as Mr.Zeus isn't here to do a 'risk assessment'. Well, I chose not to do a risk assessment and went straight in at the deep end and so did the CatWomen. We helped unpack the boxes and we even tried out the tank for ourselves. Faith and I swam about pretending to be cat fish and Lillibet was on hand with the fish pellets!
Finally, the tank was ready for Tethys to move in, luckily he had literally 'moved house' and his water came with him from one tank to another. That made life much easier and lots of fun for us because we were trying to trip the Parentals up at every bucket!
Tethys is really happy now and he likes nothing more than to serenade Momma from his new tank and he has dug her a hole to join him in his den. ManSlave says that Tethys really loves Momma, a little 'TOO MUCH' and gets quite excited when he hasn't seen her for a few hours. He flick flacks his tail and wags his body from side to side... ManSlave said, the day Momma is found 'in' the tank is the day he will leave home!
