As you are all aware, the Office Cat plays a large part in the Maystar Hoousehold. We have to do our share of filing, shredding and document manipulation. But, there is one thing we all like more than anything and that's Stock Take!
The hours that seem to be wasted just counting up every item in the office and Momma's shop and ManSlaves Cave. The hours spend dividing the inventory between us as we physically verify the quantities and condition of the items. It is always a good time to source stock discrepancy amongst the faster moving products.
Sometimes we perform a periodic counting of stock, but in Lillibet's case, she is on Stationery Duty and takes her role very seriously, usually cycle counting and making adequate notes on who has what. If you are late back with a pen or have unnecessarily used two envelopes, she is there to berate the user.
Faith is better equipped to deal with the cut off point of product and she is the one who determines when a product should no longer be ordered or indeed, it is a failing product. She is meticulous in her decisions and not based on flow charts and costings, no, it's all done on taste!
I do like the office work, but for me, the biggest excitement is being allowed to sit in a large box in the garage whilst Momma counts out the plumbing parts and I double check them on the inventory and put a paw mark to any that are questionable. This is a duty I take very lightly really and if Mr. Zeus was here, here would suggest that hard hats be worn outside and hi-vis jackets would be a must. Momma and I don't worry about such things. The main objective is to count quickly and race inside for a hot drink to warm our paws!
